Admission Process in GJU

The university releases online application forms every academic session through its official admission portal. Students can apply online after checking the eligibility criteria, admission schedule, and counselling process for their chosen course.

Entry Test

1. Various Entry tests are conducted for the selection of students. The GJU prepares an entrance exam with merit for certain courses. The JEE results determine the selection for B.Tech.
2. The candidates will be selected for M.Tech courses based on their performance in the entrance exam and GATE.
3. Candidates with the highest score will be a priority.
4. To get admission in the MBA course, one has to give CAT.

B.Tech Admission Criteria

Admission to the B.Tech programme is conducted through HSTES online counselling based on JEE Main scores. Candidates must register on the HSTES portal after the declaration of JEE Main results.

Eligibility Criteria for GJU

Students who are applying for GJU must have to fulfill eligibility criteria for the University. For UG Programmes, there is a basic ceiteria is set by the University.

1. Complete 10+2 from a recognised Board with minimum 60 per cent marks.
2. The GJU Admission will be followed by an Entrance Exam from the University.
3. For PHD admission, first students have to register themselves on the official website of the University. Then they have to take the entrance and if they qualify, then they have to complete the document process.

GJU Boys Hostel

Students coming from outside Hisar can stay in the university’s boys’ hostels, which provide accommodation along with mess facilities, security and common areas.

All hostels are fitted with good infrastructure along with water coolers for summers. Both hostels have mess and canteens that provide quality and hygienic food for students. Both hostels have wardens along with security guards for maintaining stability.

Girls Hostel of GJU

GJU has a total of 8 hostels, 4 for boys and 4 for girls too. Girls’ hostel also has access to a lot of facilities like boys’ hostel. The canteen and mess of both hostels provide quality food for students. The warden of the hostel treats students like her own children. CCTVs are also installed in both hostels for students’ security.

GJU Health Centre

Guru Jambheshwar University has a team of experienced doctors and Pharmacists who are available 24 hours. They provide primary treatment to students along with University staff. The hospital of GJU also has medicine and Ambulance facilities.

Library of GJU

If you’re someone who prefers studying in a peaceful environment, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library is one of the most useful places on campus.
The library is named after Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The library has sitting capacity of around 400 and runs in two shifts. The first shift runs from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM and from 11.00 AM to 7.00 PM. The library remains open on Saturdays and Sundays and till 12 midnight on examination days. The library recorded 143834 in December 2017.

Cafeteria of GJU

GJU cafeteria has a lot of facilities for students. Cafeteria have a big dining hall, kitchen and office on the ground floor. The University cafeteria has a capacity to serve 125 customers for lunch and refreshments. Junk food and tobacco items are not sold on the campus of GJU.

GJU Auditorium

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology has the C.H. Ranbir Singh Auditorium, which has all significant features and services. The auditorium also has a large capacity to accommodate many people.

I.T Infrastructure of GJU

The computer centre of GJU is well equipped with a lot of facilities. They have specialised resources along with internet facilities. The University infrastructure always meets the needs and expectations of its students.

Sports Complex of GJU

Guru Jambheshwar University has a sports complex covering 40 Acres. The sports complex of the University has one Badminton hall, one Tennis hall, one Chess hall, halls for Yoga and Weightlifting, three half-cemented cricket pitches, two Volleyball grounds and a 13-station multi-gym.
